India vs Australia Final

The match was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, in front of a crowd of over 100,000 people. India innings was a disaster from the start. They lost their first three wickets for just 81 and 4th wicket on 148 runs, and they were never able to recover. Australia's bowlers were excellent, with Pat Cummins taking 2/34 and Mitchell Starc taking 3/55.
India's innings was finally brought to an end in the 50th over, with Virat Kohli (54) Rohit Sharma (47) and KL Rahul (66) adding some respectability to the scoreboard. However, their total of 240 was nowhere near enough to challenge Australia's powerful batting line-up.
Australia's chase was not going to be easy, losing 3 early wickets created some pressure. Thanks to Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne who played sensibly and built a partnership of 202 for the 4th wicket and they knocked off the runs with ease. Head was caught for 137 at the doorstep of the victory.
This was Australia's sixth World Cup title, and their first since 2015.
